Arbor Day and Earth Day are holidays filled with meaning for a tree company. Arbor Day is dedicated to planting trees and celebrates all the benefits those trees bring to our lives while Earth Day commemorates the many ways we can protect and preserve our environment. Here at Bartlett Tree Experts, those ideals are part of our everyday lives. We work hard to be stewards for our urban forests, caring for trees at homes, businesses and in our communities. We are also committed to using environmentally sustainable products and equipment to reduce our carbon footprint.
Each year we embrace Arbor Day and Earth Day by distributing tree seedlings and through participating in a wide range of tree planting and community events. Here are some highlights from this year.
Arborists from our Sonoma, California office joined in the Santa Rosa Tree Planting project, an environmental recovery effort to plant native trees in areas damaged during recent wildfires. Kindergarteners at an elementary school in Richmond, Virginia learned about counting tree rings and took home seedlings to plant. In Baldwinsville, New York, Bartlett team members worked with local community members to help clean a local park and provided tree pruning. We celebrated the 90th birthday of the Hoyt Arboretum in Portland, Oregon and distributed tree seedlings to visitors. At Caumsett State Park in Lloyd Harbor, New York, we provided a tree climbing and pruning demonstration.
All told, Bartlett Tree Experts participated in well over 50 Arbor and Earth Day events in our local communities. We are so happy to give back to our local communities and help inspire and educate children about the importance of trees. Take a look at some of the highlights.
